Chris Van Loan is a photographer specializing in military & tactical market commercial photography production, working with brands to create high-quality lifestyle photography. He is the author of of several articles in outdoors publications, including Overland Journal & Expedition Portal.
Chris is the founder of Van Loan Photo and Bay Area Expeditions, and has over a decade of experience guiding and outfitting explorers in remote and unique areas of the American West. He is a member of an expeditionary SCUBA team working as underwater photographer, working with the Mexican government on conservation efforts in the Gulf of California.
Chris won the 2023 Gundies Award for Photo of the Year.
